The electric bass (or bass guitar) is of course a prominent instrument in rock and pop music, but not often associated with classical music. Lauri Porra (great-grandson of Sibelius) is one of the few composers to try to change that. His electric bass concerto "Entropia" has now been recorde by the composer withe the Lahti Symphony Orchestra under Jaakko Kuusisto on BIS.
