The baritone horn (also known as baritone) is a low-pitched brass instrument, best known for its presence in brass bands. Its sound is close to the euphonium, and although Gustav Mahler wrote lines for the baritone in his seventh symphony, they are often played on the euphonium. I have one concerto for baritone horn and orchestra by Alan Hovhaness, titled 'Diran'. It is played by Robin Dauer with the Hendrix College Chamber Orchestra under Karen Griebling on Centaur.
